The Prairie Swine Centre, a non-profit corporation affiliated with the University of Saskatchewan and located near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada currently has openings for studies in swine nutrition leading to a M.Sc. degree. Specific areas of study include:
- energy metabolism in grow-finish pigs
- examining the role of starch in the diet of growing swine
- role of saponins on the palatability of field peas for pigs
- effect of processing on the nutritional value of field peas
- effects of fibre fermentation in the pig intestines on gut health
