Engineering Research Assistant
The Prairie Swine Centre is seeking a highly-motivated individual who is looking to
develop a career in livestock environment research as part of an internationally recognized
swine research organization. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy
conducting research, has interest in electronic technologies and/or similar applications,
and genuine affinity for animals in general. You will be primarily responsible for
implementing the activities necessary for the successful completion of on-going
research projects involving the evaluation of occupational exposure of workers in
livestock barns and the assessment of water conservation measures for livestock production operations. The successful candidate must have a post-secondary degree, preferably a M.Sc. or
Ph.D. in the field of engineering, agriculture, environment, or related technical
disciplines.

Nutrition Research Assistant
The main
responsibilities of the Research Assistant includes developing
experimental protocols, managing the daily requirements of a protocol, analysis and
interpretation of results and preparation of reports and scientific articles. The successful candidate will possess a PhD degree in Animal
Science or a related discipline. The position may be filled at the Master’s level if the
candidate has demonstrated exceptional aptitude in experimental techniques including
data analysis and writing.
