Eleonor Navia obtained her B.Sc. degree in Agricultural Engineering in 1999 and Masters degree in Business Management in 2006 in the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). Prior to coming to Saskatoon, she worked at the Agricultural Machinery Testing and Evaluation Centre in UPLB as a University Research Associate in 2000. She  first joined the Prairie Swine Centre in September 2006 as a graduate research assistant under the supervision of Dr. Bernardo Z. Predicala. She took M.Sc. Agricultural and Bio-resource Engineering program in the University of Saskatchewan, completed the requirements in 2008 and obtained the degree in 2009 Spring convocation. During her entire program,  she has received the ABE Department Devolved Scholarship. Eleonor is currently working at the Prairie Swine Center as a research assistant for engineering projects. She has been involved with research projects which dealt with the reduction of energy use, odour, and gas emissions from swine barns.
